MediaCom Manchester has appointed Karyn Fleeting to head up organic content at its digital division, i-Lab.
Fleeting is the founder of Tinderbox Media in Yorkshire, which specialises in integrated PR and digital strategies.
Prior to moving into public relations, she was a journalist, initially at Vogue, before becoming commissioning editor at The Mail on Sunday and then a reporter and health correspondent at The Sunday Telegraph.
“Content is at the heart of what we do, which makes Karyn a rare find: an award-winning national newspaper journalist turned digital PR pioneer, who has previously devised and managed hugely successful, content-led campaigns for a diverse range of clients,” said Pete Young, search strategy and social director at i-Lab.
“By bringing her unique background and extensive experience to the newly-created role of Head of Organic Content, Karyn is ideally placed to manage and develop our content marketing offering.”
Her role will be to explore new content ideas to drive the company’s SEO proposition as well as shaping its organic content offering.
“I am thrilled to have joined such a talented team. As we increase capacity and expand our content marketing offering, we are poised to add even more value to clients’ organic performance campaigns,” she said.
